General Information

Totaled my car in April and stumbled into this one owner Pilot from my mechanic due to previous owner running a damaged radiator dry and ruining engine. He did not want it anymore and sold it to my mechanic w/198K miles on it for dirt cheap. My mechanic told me he would rebuild the engine and sell to me for $5000. I gave him a retainer the next day. He could not rebuild the engine so he bought an exact replacement (06) engine and transmission (77K miles) still attached to each other from a friend and put it into my Pilot. My Pilot had just been equipped with new tires, brakes, full vehicle tune-up a few months prior and he put in a new radiator, water pump, and timing belt while replacing the engine. A few months later I had the spark plugs replaced, fuel injection service, and tune up performed to the engine. I could not be luckier or happier with my mechanic (Aces Automotive, Indian Trail NC) or the Pilot.
Cont.- Last month (April, 2016) I had the shocks and struts with new sway bars on the front installed with strut mounts and boots. I may replace the rear sway bars later if needed but now it rides like a new car w/ a sports suspension.
2006 Honda Pilot (Black)

2006 3.5 L replacement motor and attached transmission with 121,000 less miles on it than rest of Pilot. New radiator, water pump, timing belt and spark plugs. Fuel injection service was completed at the same time.....runs like a champ!
Tan leather with a tan Weathertech cargo mat (awesome fit). I bought and returned the Lund catch all cargo mat because the fit was less than adequate. I had a full interior and exterior detail (through Groupon) and the interior looks awesome except for a previous rip in second row seat. I bought Coverking billet seat covers ($140 for second row and it blends in great, protects leather, and cost a lot less than replacement leather from Honda ($300 +). I also recently bought Weathertech front mats that are awesome. Scored them from Autozone for about half off with discounts and VIP rewards.
Black paint, premium alloys, body moldings, fog lights, roof rack with cross bars, moon/sun roof.....all came from the dealership when delivered to original owner. Since bought, I have replaced the passenger side headlamp assembly (both new and clear now), and both rear tail light assemblies.

12/26/17- Just had a pair of Pathfinder Sport S AT P245 70R 16's tires installed on my rims and so far so good. These are made for Discount Tire by Kumho and they are a size larger than the P235's. The tires are aggressively designed for road, and all terrain driving. They really fill in the wheel wells and noticeably change the look of my Pilot.
Stock EXL Res 6 CD changer with DVD entertainment in back seat. I recently replaced the stock Alpine 6 1/2" speakers in all four doors with JVC CS-V628 6 1/2" 2 Way Coax Speakers from Groupon for $50. The system sounds so much better with the new speakers. I am running a mp3 player through the RCA jack for the DVD player on the back of the center console/arm rest with a Cable Matters® Gold Plated 3.5mm to 2RCA Stereo Audio cable. Can you tell that I am a bargain hunter...yet?
Wheel and Tire
EXL premium alloys and Goodyear Integrity's all around. Replaced with Pathfinder Sport S AT tires which are made for Discount Tire by Khumo. They are a size larger at P245 70 R16 and run great!
