love the pilot and in my area they are selling it at 500 under inv in NY. Good deal.. The murano looks nice I wonder if it will get old quick.I see many of them on the road. The pilot is so quite. I have a odyssey, wife car, and this car is for me the dad. I have 2 kids. I drive to work 5 days a week in the snow sometimes so I do not know.. Can you dress up the pilot so it looks better for a guy.
Thank you for any replys

Ultimately, Larry, the Cayenne with the Porsche V8 might solve your problem ... but it will definitely need dedicated snow tires. Or Jay might be willing to sell you his Lexus--I hear it's pretty buff.
![]() Lots of people dress up their Pilots, but not sure if they're manly enough for you, Larry. Check out the gallery or do a search on some of the options you're considering (eg, wheels, bumper guard, side steps, mud flaps*, headers, supercharger, etc) to turn up lots of pics. If you're still considering the Murano, might want to read this thread. Good luck! *See if you can get those girlie mudflaps that you see on 18-wheelers--those are very manly.

Another good resource to compare is Edmunds.com. The 'True Cost to Own' is an interesting comparison regarding fuel, insurance, repairs, and depreciation costs over 5 years. There is a link to compare new vehicles, and you can compare up to 5 vehciles at once. Useful in trying to compare the vehicles in a somewhat objective manner. It's harder to get objective feedback from Pilot lovers!

My son has a Murano, they didn't like the boxy look of the Pilot. On the Honda side, much more room inside, third row seat, squared off rear end so easier to load and haul stuff inside, seats more comfortable in my opinion, more headroom, etc. Murano has the "look" but could get old fast. The narrow opening rear hatch and not a lot of room behind the rear seat for stuff put me off. Also, if you want to tow something, the Murano factory hitch that hides under the car is very expensive and all the aftermarket ones don't look very nice when on the car. Honda aftermarket hitches look just like the factory one.

I think the Pilot is the perfect Masculine car. NO CURVES, like a woman. Wide beefy and sculptured. No ridiculous faux military look, and for alot less money. I see a guy in a Pilot and think it's a perfect fit. No overcompensating. I also think that it's not something you should buy if it's going to be a commuter, but to put kids in on occasion, what a nice backup car! What about a kick @$$ Accord?
To beef a Pilot up more, I think the side STEPS and Fender Flares are 'manly' accessories. Good luck with your choice.
