Hi all, I have searched high and low but can not seem to find an answer to this....some old threads from a few years ago but am hoping that Honda made a change.
I have 2012 Touring with middle row heated seats. Problem is that, unlike the switch for the front seats, it's a toggle that stays on. I continually have to check it because our little ones leave it on. Is there not away to control or turn the seat warmers off from the front? Thanks. |

I'm embarrassed to admit that I've had my 2012 Touring Pilot for a couple months or so now, and did not even know they had heated seats anywhere other than the front ones.

We just picked up our 2012 Pilot Touring yesterday which we factory ordered.
According to Honda, middle row heated seats are not available from the factory and are a dealer installed option, which we had installed. The switches they provided, which look like they did come from the factory, are what you describe. They have to be manually turned on and off. There are no timer or "auto-off" feature. They off course turn off when the car is turned off but will turn back on again when you start the car if the switch was left in the "on" position. I have the same concern you do in that my kids may leave them on. I asked the dealer and he said it really wouldn't hurt anything if they were left on but I'll probably be checking them anyway to see if they were left on. |

that must be really annoying issue to face, I always though that our heat mirror will shut off by itself too, when button is press on it'll stay on all the time at the next time the car is use.

I know dealers can install options, such as running boards, hands free bluetooth units etc, but heated seats? I am gobsmacked to read that rear heated seats are a dealer installed option, because of the effort to install the wiring and heating elements inside the seat after its left the factory. A quick check of the Specification List on the Honda website doesn't appear to offer it as a factory option. Is this really true then?

Only the outboard seats in the middle row are heated in Canadian Touring model. My guess is that someone bought the Canadian parts and installed them in the dummy slots that exist in the American version.
