Default Little blue light.

little blue light....its in the control panel on the roof that has the courtesy light buttons on it? what is this?

It's just ambient lighting. The only downfall is it's not bright enough to light anything up.

Have you looked when its completely dark? It works great for finding stuff at night in the center console and I wish my Toyota had it. Maybe it does not work for people with poor night vision.

I've noticed that it works quite well for reading documents, particularly with dark writing on white or yellow paper.

Yes I agree its very handy without being distractive, makes grabbing your drink or such very easy when its dark. My BMW had a similar light but red.

Btw, if you notice that the blue light moves to you mirror and starts flashing, then you might have a different kind of problem

Our 2003 Accord has this too, but I think it's in RED ... it's called the "courtesy light".

my 04 TL and 08 RDX had the same blue lights. very nice touch, imho. i like it very much.

All,
As other posters have mentioned, I too wondered what the little blue light over the windshield was for as it dosen't seem to illuminate anything, courtesy notwithstanding, and I do have very good night vision. Regardless, it does look pretty cool at night with its distinctive blue color.

I like the Blue light. My tundra has a orange/ yellow light and the blue is much better imo.

yes it does offer some help in the darkand its blue to match the dash lights.
