Bluetooth HFL Questions
Just picked up my 2012 Pilot EX-L. Upgraded from a 2009 EX.
I just have a few questions regarding the HFL. First, I synced it to my phone (Android) and the communication all works as expected. the only issue is it doesn't appear to have pulled in all of my contacts in the phone book. One contact for example is missing from the phone book, but is listed in the call history. Any ideas?
Also, is there anyway to initiate voice dialing using the phone voice dialer? Previously, i used a headset and pushing a button on the headset launched the voice dialer and i could give commands through the headsets mic.
Thanks for any help.
I have yet to try it but there is a voice button sitting behind the phone button on the steering wheel. Press it and the phone should prompt you to say a name. But before you can do that I believe you must set up a voice tag for each contact in your phone list via the setup button.
You are right. The system can be setup this way and it works very well, once you have the contacts loaded in. Unfortunately, if the contact isn't configured this way, you have to scroll through the phone book, which lead me to the first issue that not all contacts are there. Finally, i just dialed directly from the phone, which i don't like to do when driving.
