Default Anyone tried importing a picture as their wallpaper?

When I try, it gets about half way through the import and fails? What am I doing wrong?

I was able to import. I would keep the image file under 1MB and as close to 1024x768 in size as possible and see if that helps.

Mine worked fine as well. As the previous reply suggests, I would resize your photo and then attempt the upload again.

Join a free site like photobucket.com and you will have no issues at all. It use to be time- consuming and frustrating to try and post pic.s from within my computer

Sorry, perhaps I should have been more clear in my original post, I am trying to import a picture for the wallpaper in the Pilot. I did try resizing it so it is 55 kb and 640x427. I was going to buy another thumb drive and see if that was the issue perhaps.

If switching drives works, great. If not, you could try several things like keeping the name of the picture file short. Also, you didn't mention if you were importing a jpeg or bmp; you could switch formats and try that. Lastly, if you are importing a jpeg, the Pilot may not like the compression used within the file; you could try another app to save the image and see if that helps.

I had a hard time finding the setting for the wallpaper so I wanted to share what I learned (took some trial and error):

I have a '12 EX-L (no nav/res) and the i-MID resolution is 480x288 (aspect ratio 5:3).

So if the image is smaller than that it will appear with black borders around it, bigger than that and it will be resized to fit. For best results keep the aspect ratio to 5:3.

Important: When saving a JPEG don't use the progressive option. It will fail to upload if you don't.

I've read that models with the Nav have a higher resolution i-MID, anyone know what the resolution is??? Maybe it's 960x576???

I just got a '12 4WD ex/L res and tried to put wallpapers of my daughter, initially it didn't work. Got it to work after a couple of times.

First, size of image doesn't matter, what matters is the resolution needs to be at most 1024x768, be .jpg or .bmp and make sure the name of the file has no spaces.

Hope this helps for those that want a better image

does the file have to be on the root of the flash drive? or can it be in a folder?
