Hi- new to the forum but wanted to ask if anyone has experienced their late model Pilot leaning when observed on level ground while inspecting from the rear? We purchased a new 2012 touring model, only to find it leaning/sitting lower on the driver's rear than the passenger side; we eventually turned this Pilot back in due to other issues, only to get another brand new touring Pilot w/the same issue; it's obvious to me, take a level, make sure the ground surface is level, then stick the level on the back bumper, only to find the driver's side is sitting lower; also, I can take tape measure and measure the distance from the fender well to the top of the tire on both rear pass and driver's side; it's an obvious difference, at least 1/4" off and sitting lower on the driver's side; just wondering if anyone else had experienced this; I've written to Honda and they have requested I work through the dealership; let's just say the dealership has been something less than stellar. Our Pilot now only has 5000 miles on it; no mechanical problems, but as someone who notices small things like this, it drives me nuts! thanks!

Every car has a lean to it. Components are never exactly on the center line and as a result springs are handed to accommodate the unbalance in weight.
Open the hood and you will see the engine is more on the passenger side than drivers side. Sent from AutoGuide.com App |
