Default Annoying Rattles

Got back from the Honda dealer about several rattles.

One was behind the glove box door, fixed by placing a small thin rubber strip between the rear horizontal panels behind the glove box door.

Next rattle was when my driver's window was down about 4 inches while driving. The technician heard it, but there is not a guaranteed fix for it.

Next rattle I noticed is coming from the lower front left engine compartment
when my driver's window is completely down and I'm at a drive through fast food restaurant. Sounds a bit like a loose cat heat shield. The Technician was not able to recreate the sound.

Anyone else experiencing rattles anywhere?

I got the same rattle in the driver window. Been in twice and no fix. If i just touch the window or just push anwywhere along the door it stops.

I have a 2011 EX-L that seems to develop a new rattle every couple of months... The most annoying is in the left front corner of the dash (right by the windshield). When I took it into the dealer, the technician pushed on it and it went away. It went away for about an hour. Same thing happens every time I take it in, so I have given up and just push on it when it rattles.

I have another rattle that started about a month ago that sounds like it is coming from the molding on the steering column. I haven't had time to explore this one.

One more strange one is a weird click under the carpeting on the driver side. On long drives I always seem to find it with my left heel and find myself making it click and click and click :-(

I heard an annoying rattle once behind the driver's seat, found out it's my daughter's toy.
I'm hearing some squeaks and noises once in a while, but not annoying yet that requires some investigation. I hope it's not a snake.

Default 2010 Pilot Touring Model

I have a rattling issue near front of the sunroof on the driver side.

I had them fix it. They placed some sort of rubber up there but the rattling was gone for about a month but it's come back closer to the drivers side now. I'm going to bring it back in soon.

I had this incessant rattle coming from the 2nd row seats all of last week. Turned out the seat belts of the outboard seats were hitting up against the plastic of the C pillars. I just leave all the belts buckled in now and no more rattling.

This is the most annoying rattle I've experienced so far. Just have to turn up the music louder to drown it out on my long commutes.

I have the same problem. Can be corrected if the buckle and belt are set parallel to the plastic, but my 8 year old doesn't have the patience or care to get it just right....this and occasionally the RES screen and/or remote are the only rattles at 17k miles.

I have the same issue with my seat belts. Neither of my boys or my wife can seem to release the belts so that they don't rattle.

I've experienced enough (lemon) vehicles to realize that if rattles are your only issue then you should be thankful.............

The rear seat belts in my last three cars have made the same rattle. My kids are old enough they notice it and fix it for me.

Someone else mentioned the drivers side floor. My pops when you push on it with your foot but its my right foot. The noise is about where the rear right hand side of the floor mat is. No plans to have anything checked out, I just deal with it but am curious what that is under there.

My Pilot has 10K miles on it and I have an annoying rattle in the dashboard - right above the radio display. Sounds like several plastic pieces clicking somewhere inside. I assume it's a clip rubbing or broken somewhere in the assembly, but it drives me crazy. Didn't notice it much when the weather was warmer, but now that it's cold, it will rattle for 5-10 minutes until the car heats up and then it subsides. I'm not sure dealer will be able to fix it (might make it worse if they have to tear the dash apart to investigate), but will mention on my next visit.

Default Rattle in dash.

The rattle is the same that I had in my 2012 EX-L. The rattle or squeak is coming from where the seam above the temp display and the LCD plastic meet. I deduced this by placing a thin piece of cardboard in the seam for a day or so. The sound sounds like it is coming from the vent area or somewhere closer to the driver side. I have been at this for 5 months now. I have fixed it by taking a thin rubber corded gasket cut to length to fit snugly into the seam right in front of the LCD display. Try the cardboard piece first then get the corded gasket material and insert it in the seam and push it down in. Good luck

I recently had my dealer fix the rattle coming from the lower front left engine compartment. It was actually rattling underneath, apparently from the exhaust heat shield. Thank you Tempe Honda!
