Default So is anyone happy with their Pilot?

Hi folks,

I'm new the forum and found this after I purchased my 2013 4wd Touring on Wednesday. I was looking for accessory suggestions and found all these issues about the dreaded shudder, poor paint jobs, uncomfortable seats and the list goes on. Granted many people only post when they are unhappy but are there any happy Pilot owners here? Reading all these posts is giving me serious concern.

Thanks

I'm very happy with my Pilot.

Shudder is barely noticeable, paint job is fine, seats are comfy.

Edit to add: I have about 9K miles on it now.

I have the same model in the same town, and I'm happy. More importantly, my wife is happy. As you know, this area is the perfect target market for the Pilot.

Drive and enjoy; don't be afraid because some unfortunate souls have had problems. I tend to believe that there are more happy Pilot owners than unhappy ones, even with the 2013 models.

Default Honda Pilot 2013 Vibration Issue

If you do not mind noise/vibration issue in ECO mode that some of us are experiencing, then it is great car. Everything else on my Pilot 2013 looks and perform awesome.

I LOVE my 2012 Pilot. I don't have any issues with it. No shudder, fan noises or problems of any kind. I've taken 4 roadtrips with it since I purchased it (2/7/12) and been really pleased with how comfortable even was. The last trip was 1, 500 miles rt with 3 adults and two kids in carseats plus all of our luggage and we had plenty of space. My only complaint is the tiny glove box. I have read a lot of negative stories on here, but I haven't experienced any issues. And she drives like a dream in the snow

Love ours. Not one regret.

And funny the seats are mentioned here, as I hated the leather seats in our 09 Ody, and dreaded long trips. I love the Pilots leather seats.

Just hit 12,000 miles on my 2012 Pilot EX-L w/navigation and 4WD. Yes, the A/C fan makes some noise and I do feel a slight shudder every now and again, but lets face it, its a truck.

I consistently get 20-25 MPG and the 4WD works amazingly in the snow. I am very happy with my purchase. I just think there are a lot of sensitive people out there that expect their car to be absolutely perfect. Lets not forget, these are still made by humans and you could do so much worse with other manufacturers.

I have a 2012 EX-L. Love the seats, "Shudder" or whatever is not noticeable. I have owned 2 Honda S2000's including a CR. The paint work is a problem for all Hondas I have owned. Very thin.

Absolutely thrilled with my 2013 4x4 Touring! There can be problems with every manufacturer! You always see the problems here first because this forum doesn't have a separate section for issues. Everything gets dumped right under the 2011-2013 Pilot Forum. In most other car forums I have belonged, if someone posted about a shudder issue, a mod would move into the problem category. Not saying its correct or not, but probably the reason "issues" seem more prevalent!

To answer the OP, do the LED light upgrade! It's so worth the $35 it will cost you. Best addition I've seen for the money! Search for Armystrong as he did an excellent write up with pics and links to purchase.

The Pilot is awsome, enjoy it! Also, pull on you sun visor to extend on its own rod. I've been driving for 3 months and didn't find this out until today! :-)

My wife still loves her Pilot, no real problems and no warranty work since we bought it, has about 8k on it now.

Maybe if I REALLY try to detect the shudder, I seems that I actually feel it... But for all intents and purposes, it ain't there. Paint looks fine, seats feel fine. I loved my '07 EX, and I love my new '13 EX. Especially today, in this weather (northern NJ), 4WD shines.

To mine, I added all-weather mats, door edge guards, side steps, rear seat covers, and roof rails + crossbars.

Nobody starts a thread to say they love their Pilot and it has no problems. Threads are started to discuss issues and problems. Taken into context that a few posters have some issues and the majority are not represented, the problems appear larger than they are. Our 2013 EX-L has no issues (no shudder, PS whine, etc). Wife loves it. It is way more refined than our previous 2005.

Thanks for all the replies folks. Nice to read positive comments rather than all the negative ones.
