It beats the pants off of my former Jeep Patriot and I would definitely buy it again, so yes I am happy!

I bought my 2012 EX 4WD last Sept. The more I drive it, the more I like it. I was very happy with my 2001 Ford Explorer I bought in June 2002 and traded for my Pilot. So far, I am even happier with my Pilot. It has the features and conveniences I wanted and is roomier than the Explorer.

The Explorer did have very comfortable seats. I'm 6'2" and like legroom and headroom (for my cowboy hat). At first, the Pilot seat wasn't as comfortable, but I've gotten used to it. However, the design of the headrest makes it somewhat difficult to wear a cowboy hat; the brim keeps hitting the headrest. A friend of mine says it is the most comfortable vehicle he has ridden in. As we are both retired, I figured he's ridden in a few. Also, on one ride he said that the more he rides in it, the more he is impressed with it. We belong to the same amateur radio club and are both heading up our local volunteer examiner (VE) team, so he does ride with me on occasion.

I do wish the front passenger seat on the EX had a manual adjustment to tilt the front of the seat bottom up, as does the passenger seat in the wife's '95 Volvo 850 Turbo (She inherited it from me and it still looks like a new car.). My wife would like that. However, as the EX had all the features I wanted, and except for Bluetooth, none I did not want, I would not have bought a higher level model just for an adjustable passenger seat.

I notice the slight shudder as the engine goes into and out of economy mode, but I'm getting used to it and it doesn't bother me. Overall, I am a very happy camper.

2013 EX w/leather 4WD. Use it for nothing but trips and love the smooth ride and good gas mileage. I validate mileage with computer AND the pump, averaging ~ 22MPG for the first 3k miles. This is the best riding, quietest vehicle I have owned. I have not owned any of the luxury tier vehicles, so can only compare to Honda, Mitsubishi, Isuzu, Ford and Chevy. I bought this after reviewing many forum sites and realized EVERY manufacturer site had complaints.

I wish you the best of luck with whatever vehicle you buy, as I'm sure there will always be something you can find wrong. But, if you're realistic and look at the overall value then you should be happy.

I love my Pilot and especially like the big car comfort I have when cruising down the highway. Show me another $30k car that will tow my boat, haul 8 people, and still get decent gas mileage.

Had mine five months, just under 2,000 miles. I am extremely happy with it and the more I drive it, the more I like it.

The only thing I regret was buying the EX instead of the EX-L, you can always convert the LX to an EX with under $1500.00 if you are get the right price for the parts. But there is no way to convert the EX to EX-L without spending a fortune. Specially just to add XM to the Radio is a $1000.00 since the hole HU needs to be swap.

There is no Kit for the 2013 EX that will keep the factory HU.

Default Not happy

To the OP, since you asked. No I'm not happy with my 2012 Pilot Touring. The VCM vibration at highway speeds makes it miserable on road trips.
I am also less than enthused by Honda's unwillingness to even address the problem.

Thumbs up Yes!

Have had the EX-L for 6days now. The first one i test drove had terrible shudder on the highway starting at 60mpn and maintained up to 80mph. Did not notice during backroad drive but then again roads are pot hole lined this time of yr.
Was told tires warped because sitting in lot for so long another sales guy told me it was the cheap tires but that i could upgrade to for a fee. so typical of the malarkey dealerships spew. the one i bought i test drove 3 times city and highway with no shudder detected up to 80mph. I have not detected any poor paint spots and hope i don't.
i am having trouble with the bluetooth. the salesguy programmed when i picked up but since dealership did state inspection won't recognize. i set up myself and received confirmation that connected & phn model shows on display but when try to use it states phone not found. guess it's back to the dealership.

Yes - I'm extremely happy.

I read all the issues in this forum prior purchasing so decided to test drive several (4 Pilot) and can't get the dreaded vibration to come on when it switch to ECO. As far as the stating issue, I crank all four of them several different ways and maybe total of sixty starts and I have to say that the longer you hang on or put pressure holding the key in the start position the more it seems to take time before catching/starting. Instead think of it as push button start, turn and let go as quick as you can and it's flawless everytime. With that said I decided to purchased one, EX-L with RES and after 2 weeks and 400 miles of ownership, I made the right choice. The 2013 is very quiet, seems like lots of insulation and less wind noise. Go test drive one and you will know what i'm talking about.

Yes.

2012 EX-L bought in September. It's a gret ride. I haven't experienced the shudder people write about at all. I've made the trip from Texas to New York and back twice. Very comfortable, good features. My only regret? Getting one with a black paint job.

Why do you regret getting a black one? I got a black one too, I think it looks sharp, may show dirt a little more than a lighter color, but I like it.

I don't pick mine up till tomorrow , so I can't say anything about the Pilot yet, but I wanted to respond to this reply. I am thrilled that the LX I bought can be made to look like an EX pretty much by just adding some fog lights (and maybe some running boards too). Unlike other car makers, this base model doesn't sport ugly grey trim shouting to the world it's not the spendy version of the vehicle . I still get some chrome on the front and rear of the truck. After reading these forums a bit this morning I am thinking I am the only person in the world who bought the LX .

If only I had made more research before getting into the Lease, I would be with you buying an LX too. There's basically nothing you can not add to the LX and make it an EX for way less money than the gap between the LX and EX, I mean, you can get the wheels for under $400 on ebay or craigslist, $100 for the fog lights, another $80 for the exhaust chrome tips, and $300 to get the black trims painted to match for a total of $880.00 vs the $2000 gap between both.
