Default Recall and Ownerlink

After looking up info on the airbag recall, I went to my Ownerlink account and put in my VIN and got a no current recalls for your vehicle message. So, I am wondering if I am really in the clear or is there some lag time between the recall and the VINs being put in the ownerlink database? Anyone had experience with recalls and ownerlink before?

It's probably too early to be checking - Honda said they wouldn't start mailing out the letters until mid-February. It's conceivable that they don't have the VIN list ready yet.

Gents,

Majority of these cars that have these problems and require repair have been exported to other countries in the world. What would Honda now do for them.

Rgds,
Fred

What makes you say that? How do you know? Besides, I'm sure they have recalls in most nations aound the world. There have to be dealer networks where the vehicles are sold, even if exported there.
