I was skeptical at first but now I believe it. When I was offered $35k out of the gate on a 2013 Touring 2WD it got me wondering.
I talked to some of the dealers in the VA/DC/MD area and they came down to $34k w/o much conversation. Granted VA/DC/MD seems to be the high volume area for both Honda and Acura - so it could be a regional thing. That being said, I'll travel to DC if it saves me $1000. |

Is that price for all cash, or is there financing and/or a trade in the conversation?

No trade. Didn't discuss financing although I would assume dealers prefer you to finance since they get a margin on the difference between what you pay and the rate they arrange. That said, given Honda Finance is at 0.9% you may as well finance the whole thing and pray for inflation.

4WD Touring invoice is around $38,500. Honda is offering $1,100 in factory incentives below invoice. You can haggle for some after that. But $35K, really? $34K? Something is missing here. Dealer demo, high miles, etc. Prove me wrong and send proof. |

This was a 2WD Touring not a 4WD Touring. "Invoice" on the 2WD is $37,088. That said, invoice doesn't mean jack other than to anchor the price negotiations. I have everything in writing from four dealers and have seen the vehicles - these are new / non-demo. I'll be happy to share "proof" with the group if/when I close the deal as I'm also looking at another brand. |

Assuming your $1100 and the $500 for using Honda Finance, there's $1600 in addition to the $793 holdback... Est Dealer Cost (2013 Touring 2WD) = $37,088 - $1600 - $793 = $34695 My guess is there are additional mfr-dlr incentives out there. Doesn't seem to be a good source of info on this topic. |

I did not see a $500 Honda Finance incentive published along with this invoice offset. 4WD Touring invoice is 38,547 and 1,100 below that is 37,447. I paid 37,274. I ended up using Honda finance but my deal wasn't contingent on it. I got a all weather mats added in and I know I could have beat another $200-300 off with a struggle. Beyond this, that was it for the deal. $27,900 is pretty aggressive for my trade as KBB and auto trader were a few hundred dollars lower. Guaranteed Invoice Offset $1,100 Below Factory Invoice Including Manufacturer-to-Dealer Incentive (Expires 03/04/2013) |
