Default LED lights for interior.

I recently changed out the map, cargo, and door courtesy lights with LED units and the improvement in light quality is amazing. I got "bulbs" from Amazon very inexpensively. The front maps and cargo were #3175 (31 mm) and the rest were #194, according to the Sylvania chart. Popping out the lenses was creepy the first time but once you do one its's easy.
The #3175's were about six bucks for a twin pack; each "festoon" bulb had nine led elements and the 31 mm size is what fits. The door and passenger maps
were less than ten dollars for a 10-pack. LED'S are polarity sensitive so if it doesn't work, reverse the "bulb". The light is a clean glare-free white. I will try and find the part numbers from Amazon if there is any interest. Sylvania-OSRAM has a bulb list for the 2011 but applies to the 2012 also.
You won't regret doing this.

Did the LPL units use the same LED as the maps, the #194? How easy was it to change...I never thought about the LPL.
Thanks.

I bought mine from Amazon, 11 piece set. Licsnse plate lights are in this set.

License plate lights are easy, just pry the lens cover off, just like inside covers.

Look at my post here. http://www.piloteers.org/forums/82-2...tml#post401165

Just go to the site and search for the parts I mentioned. As long as you are okay waiting about 2 weeks to receive the bulbs you will save a lot of money.

*edit* here are some direct links for you.

Get 6 of these. http://www.banggood.com/Wholesale-Ca...w-p-24597.html
Get 3 of these. http://www.banggood.com/Wholesale-Do...m-p-24598.html

Should be <$14 shipped.

^^^
Agreed.

Installed all the interior lights - HUGE DIFFERENCE in both quantity & quality of lighting. Like daylight when you unlock and all the lights come on. You can actually read a map at night.

I bought locally (and obviously WAY OVERPAID) but it was a last minute thing I wanted to do before my road trip - so I couldn't wait for them to come in.

I was about to replace the license plate lights but had trouble getting the bulb out so thought I better check before breaking it off or something. There's not much bulb there to grab a hold of, all I removed was the clear plastic cover, does more get removed or did you use something to grab the bulb??

Here's a video showing how:

The LED package is from College Hills Honda and is the most expensive I've seen so far, but they were nice enough to do a install video.

I purchased them from DDMtuning.com

I think i paid roughly around $50.00, the thing about them is that their website claims they are in california, but they order from china. I wasn't to happy about that, and it took almost 3 weeks for it to come. I think you can find better deals on ebay or other sites.

just look for (5050) smd leds, in my opinion i think are pretty bright.

Hmmm, all the leds come from China, Taiwan and Japan
Halo from Japan is probably the best ( if you are lucky to find originals. There is a lot of fake ones out there now.

I have a couple of halos 194 from six years ago (still working bright).

The halos are exactly like the ones displayed on College Hills Honda website.

The original halos SMDs 194/168 cost about $25 per pair though

Hope this helps.
