Default Mine came from Superior Honda

Actually through Mike Albert which sourced it from Superior Honda. It seems Mike Albert and Superior Honda are owned by the same people. I visited Superior and received a tour and will have the car serviced there. My wife's 2002 Odyssey came from Jeff Wyler on Colerain and they have been super to deal with.

Now if we get together, it's going to be on sportbikes so we can have a little fun.

2000 Kawasaki ZX-12R. The last of the unrestricted beasts.

This is very concerning to me since I have a Silver EX-L Navi on order with JW. I will not pay for anything extra that I don't want. Did you try to walk away (as hard as that would be?)?

No, I did not try to walkout. I liked the Pilot and this was the only dealor who had the color I wanted (Even thougth Sand Stone was my first choice). And, did I mention this $ 149.00 includes document charges, Tax & Title.

But, it was the attitude of the sales team which really bothered me. And, I thought the Manager could have been more reponsible. But, he proved to be no less Scrupulous than the sales rep.

If anyone is interested, check out Performance Honda in Fairfield Oh. MSRP, no forced add-ons, and a sales person who bought a Pilot. One of the biggest complaints on these threads are sales people not aware/or don't care about any issues one may have. Having spent hours reading Pilot issues on three different sites, I can assure you I can take care of my customers.

If you are prone to internet shopping, send Ritchie Cook, Internet Sales Manager, an email. Mention to either Ritchie or myself you are a member of Pilot.org and get a discount off the MSRP. Internet Sales: rcook@performanceautoplex.com

Buying a vehicle should be a pleasant experience. No one should walk out unhappy about the service or vehicle.

This kind of behavior by sales people is disgusting. I am in sales (not cars thank God) and anytime you treat the customer with slick sales techniques and/or bait and switch tactics you can be sure that they will tell everyone they know. Sounds like the demand is so high they can get away with this, but that should never be an excuse.

Certainly this does nothing to remove the scumbag car sales rep imiage many people have. Guess its pretty well deserved in this case too (and seems to be a very prevelent thing)

We have not installed sunroofs in any Pilot as of yet. It seems to me that Classic Soft Trim is the company that has done it in the past on CR-Vs and other non-sunroof blessed vehicles. I will ask around and see what the consensus is.

Default HL was a close second

Actually we sold a 95 Camry to get this Pilot. The HL was a close second. The HL had some nicer creature comforts (sunroof, etc), but the Pilot seemed a more logical choice. The third row is small but will be welcome when hauling kiddies.

Isn't Michigan GM country? Why didn't you get a TrailBlazer?

hubby45251: Talked to Classic Soft Trim. They tell me that they only wholesale to dealers, no retail sales. Thanks for the followup.

Trailblazer looked at it but it could not compatre to the ride of the Pilot it was more trucklike not that there is anything wrong with that!

I got Sandstone EX-L 3 weeks ago from Jeff Wyler in Florence and love it. We worked with Kathy and she was fantastic. We got ours under MSRP and even the options we wanted from them (Running boards, mud guards) they gave us a discount on (Of course you could still get them for a better price online). She did not push anything and it was a very favorable experience. If we decide to purchase another Honda, I will definitely go back to them.

We did have an issue where our Pilot was dented somehow while it was at the dealership getting the Running Boards put on. They were very apologetic and fixed it for no cost. They also gave us a loaner car while they had it to be fixed. When we got it back, you could not tell at all where the dent was. I think a lot of dealerships would say that the dent was not their issue but Kathy was very apologetic and said they wanted to make things right. I really appreciate this attitude and is very different from many other sales people I have worked with when purchasing other cars.

Happy Piloting!

Thumbs up Cincinnati Owners

I bought EX Sandstone from Performance Honda for invoice price on 03/31/2003. No accessories.. except anti-rust coating.. I added bugdeflector recently. I thought that was a good deal. Any comments
