I am a proud Sandstone EXL-res Pilot owner. I even work at Performance Honda! I can tell you that you did not over pay for your Pilot. You just paid MSRP with added accessories at the price all the dealerships in the area charge. You should be happy that there was a Pilot available that you could purchase without waiting 1 week - 4 months as some have. I take pride in my dealership because we do not overcharge. In fact I could give you names of local Honda dealerships that require people to pay for a "protection package" at a cost of $895! We sell it, but give you the choice. PLUS, you can't beat the free automated car wash. I have bought many cars in different states, I have never ran across a dealership that allows you to wash your vehicle as often as you like at no cost! Welcome to the Performance Family!
If it will make you feel better, I paid MSRP for my Pilot. (with this vehicle, there are no such things as employee discounts) Even so...I leased it and lowered my payment in comparison to my '99 Exploder lease. If we receive an available vehicle, we will install accessories so that people don't have to look at a book to see what features they may want. If some one would like to buy it, congradulations! As far as being a group of Pilot owners, maybe we should figure out how many are local and plan an outing. I have been looking for a good reason to do some tailgating! Not to mention, I am always looking for excuses to drive!
