Whatever reason Honda wouldn't certify it would be enough for me to walk away.

Here's a Pilot, 1 year newer, less miles, has Nav. and is certified.

Details on the pilot
Year: 2010
Model: Pilot Touring
Black exterior
Black interior
Mileage 41xxx
Besides the touring package it also has running boards installed

My main concern is that it's not a honda certified. It was a lease turn in at an Infiniti dealer.

It does have 2 open recalls sun roof motor and sear belt stitching.

Any feedback will be appreciated
Thanks
No problem. You can still bring it to any Honda dealer for recall fix since it's a Honda. It's the responsibility of Honda to fix recall issues. You can also go to this link to verify any recalls with regard to your Pilot. Safety Recalls | Honda Safety | Honda Owners Site

Hope this helps.

Not sure why you need to have it certified. Dealership don't normally certify a vehicle on customer request.

Since its already gone through their service shop and deemed - non certifiable.

Ask to buy Honda extended warranty instead......

----------------- OFF TOPIC -----------------

The fact that the car still has open recalls raises red flag - the car wasnt serviced at honda or no good service history.

I bought a certified used 2002 Nissan Altima (from Passport Nissan, Marlow) several years ago.

It needed a brand new engine within weeks of purchase. Of course, the service department was happy to do this - a massive payday for them.

After so many other issues later. I decided to dump at Carmax.

Carmax discovered that the car had been in a massive accident - Frame damage - so bad that the frame was welded together.

Of course, Passport Nissan refused to take it back.

Moral of Story - Even though it’s certified... Don’t throw caution to the wind.

If in doubt... just move on.... there are plenty other options... Its a buyers market
