Default Kansas Snowstorm - Would you believe?

This is the only picture I could take quickly where I was, but would you believe?

This is my 2011 Honda Pilot Touring towing a stuck Nebraska Furniture Mart truck that was on its way to a delivery. It's hard to tell how large this truck is from the picture, but it's the biggest box truck I've seen in a while. Can't believe I did it...

Awesome. I hope you left them the $200 bill for the recovery.

A real-world use case for VTM-4 lock! Did you use it?

Picture looks interesting, but I have doubt about the ability of the Pilot to pull that truck. Empty, the truck probably weight at least 10,000lbs; loaded may be 15,000lbs. Either way that is a lot more weight than the Pilot is rated. Even if it could, why put that kind of stress on your vehicle, unless the Pilot belongs to the furniture store.

He was probably hoping that a new flat-screen TV would fall out of the back of the truck.

Perhaps you have not seen the stock Toyota Tundra towing the 292,000 lb space shuttle?

How A 5,600-Pound Toyota Towed A 292,000-Pound Space Shuttle

It can be done, at low speeds. The Pilot's rated towing capacity is conservative to include a wide range of driving speeds.

Towing capacity is not a rating of how much it can pull but how much it can stop. It can pull as much as you want to hook to it so long as you can control what happens after.

I just helped get him up a hill and around the intersection until he could get his own traction again. Just doing what's right. Guy drove by on the opposite side of the road and yelled "Free Dining Room Set" afterwards... lol... Priceless.

oh it sure could pull it usually when they get stuck it only takes a minor pull to get them moving. or a "budge" if you will. i have used mine to pull my fully loaded semi out before. like i say. they usually only need a minor tug. unless they really screw up
