Default Broken Mirror Housing, anyone know how to move motor actuator, etc to new one?

Hi,
So I backed my wife's 09 Pilot out of the garage and messed up her passenger mirror. Luckily only the outer housing cracked, the mirror and internal mechanisms seem to be fine. Honda ordered me a paint matched external housing for $67 or so... only question now is regarding the installation.. whether I should attempt it or pay them to do it.

I've read through some of the posts and found the Muth signal mirror installation post and various posts talking about replacing the entire mirror assembly or just a mirror.. but does anybody know how difficult it is to swap out the contents of a mirror housing (motor actuator, mount, etc.) into a new case?

From my reading I think I can pop the piece of trim off near the mirror, get to the bolts and get the mirror off the car and get the mirror off, etc., I'm just a little concerned with taking the actuator and and all the rest of the parts out of the mirror housing and remounting it properly in the new one.

My '12 you have to pop the mirror off to get access to the motor. If I remember correct it was some screws and didn't look hard to remove the motor. Hard part it seem to me was to remove the mirror. Didn't have to remove my mirror since I was replacing the whole thing. The new unit came with the mirror separate so all I had to do was snap it into place.
Removing the whole mirror was easy as snapping the sail trim panel off, three 10mm bolts, and unplugging one harness.
