Default Honda pilot 2009 washer fluid tank

Anybody experienced a total drain on your washer fluid tank? Because after filling my tank full, I was surprised that after 2 days it was fully empty. Any suggestions guys? Thanks.

Fill it with water and look for a leak.

Washer fluid is just water mixed with methanol as a freezing point depressant. You can run just water in the summer time without any issue.

Could you see that it was empty, or was no water coming out of the windshield washer when you tried to spray the window? If I remember correctly, you can't see all the way to the bottom of the tank. You may be asking the wrong question.

That said, there's only one way and one way out of that tank. Check for leaks. Water is a great idea.

ps. What's with the parts list? Just curious?

pps. Welcome to the forum!

My 2009 recently started leaking too. I believe the leak is at the bottom of the tank because when I fill it, it takes the entire gallon. I filled right up to the top of the neck. Within 10 minutes it had gone down a few inches and I started to see the puddle on the ground. I think I'll have to pull the tank to see what is going on. I'll let you know what I find.

What did you find? Having the same issue but it wasn't leaking when I took it in and now it leaks way more often. And of course now the warranty is out.
