I added a few Rosen optional cables (aux out and rear av cable for my headrests). I will hopefully put a link to my install or some pics online soo. Go with the Rosen. I'm getting ready to put in the backup camera. Just trying to find out where is the reverse light wire I can tap into.
thanks! waiting for the rosen dvd headrest that the dealer ordered and will install

Hello funpilot,
I just bought a 2013 EX-L. I would like to install the autotain 9" headrest monitors (HR9L) from Onfair dot com. Are you still satisfied with your purchase?

How did you provide power to the both monitors? Did you use the "add-a-fuse" adapter at the fuse box? If so, which fuse or fuses did you tap into for both monitors?

Thanks.

I had mine from on onfair for 3 years now.Best investment ever. Power is supplied by the 12 volt plug in the rear center console. Tapped the power from within to keep the the plug available for other stuff

Thanks. I think I will look into getting power from the center console outlet also. Simply because it keeps all the wiring in close proximity.

Did you splice and solder the connections? or use a quick splice terminal?

Splice, solder, and tape. Install was easy, took longer because i was anal with neatness. Some advice, after installing everything, don't close everything up yet. Move the seats, fowards, backwards, recline, etc and then close it up. In the seats, there are metals grids, use it and zip tie the wires to it leaving a little slack

Checked the website, they were discontinued and they came out with a few new ones. The ones I have are like these but with a controller for the games .

Autotain 9 inch Digital screen Car Headrest DVD player and Monitors In Black color

The black leather was almost a perfect match to my pilot's interior.
They have accessories like cigarette lighter plugs adapters if you want to just plug it into the lighter, i didn't need it.

I think I would of gone with the touch screen if they were available at the time.

One more question, do these headrests sit well on the seat back as the pictures show them round at the bottom compared to the originals are contoured to fit snug on the seat back .

Funny you should ask. The pilot has the head restraint headrest. When I installed the monitors in, the stems are adjustable so they are a universal fit. The head rest have a slight tilt for viewing angles. As a driver, I was use to resting my head on the original headrest. Since these are smaller, my head tilts to far back, but after time, you get use to it.
