Default 2011 Touring Immobilizer Malfunction

Has anyone experienced a malfunction with the immobilizer system on their Pilot? My 2011 Touring with 10,000 miles had such a failure today.

The Pilot started, then quickly shut itself off. The green immobilizer key symbol on the dash was flashing. I switched to my other set of keys, thinking the fob battery might have failed, but the second key got the same result. I also discovered that the key fob lock - unlock - tailgate open functions were all dead.

The local dealer had me try some "brake" codes to bypass the immobilizer, which involves a series of key-on, apply parking brake, release parking brake, key off several times, but it did not work.

The tow truck just left my house with the Pilot onboard. I love the Pilot, but I'm not happy right now...

There are so many computers/ECUs in cars now-that unless they all boot correctly some fault is going to appear.
Yours sounds simple. Replace the box (once they discover where its located) and you'll be on your way.
