Talking 4 WD button to the right of the steering wheel

I am curious as to weather my 4wd drive button works, I have a new pilot (a about five months old) which I have just really begun to drive. When I push the the 4wd button on my Pilot it never comes on; when starting the suv you see all the lights light up briefly and I have seen the 4wd button next to the speedometer which I presume will turn on when 4wd is activated. Does anyone have any suggestions or should I take this back to the dealer for review?

Richard,

2011 4wd EX-L W Nav

You mean the VTM-4 button?

Only works on gears 1, 2 or Reverse, AND speed must not exceed 18mph (30 kp/h).

Hope this helps.

BTW, use this only when stuck, in deep snow, or mud. Never use it on flat surface.
In most cases, just trust the AWD system to do it's job.

I haven't yet to press a vtm-4 button even in the major snow storm.

It's a lock button. The 4wd will operate automatically as needed, otherwise.

My wife got stuck in our alley way last winter. We had just received over a foot of snow. She called me at work and I walked her through the process of activating the VTM: put in 1, push VTM button, go. She was able to free the truck immediately. I'm still pissed she's gotten to use VTM and not me. I was hoping to try it this winter, but we've only received about two inches of snow.
