Had a friend that just got rid of his 2009 Ford Edge where he had an AFE Pro Dry S oil-less reusable air filter in it; he didn't need it anymore and gave it to me for free. AFE's part: Air Filters Direct Fit Ford Edge 07-11, Taurus 08-11, Flex 09-11, Fusion 10-11 V6-3.5L 30-10215 - aFe Power
According to K&N, our air filter is 12" (305 mm) x 6.813" (173 mm) and the Edge is 12" (305 mm) x 6.75" (171 mm). There is a difference of only 2mm and the AFE's full rubber body is wide & thick enough to seal well. This may be a good option for those who like using K&N type filters but don't want to deal with the hassle of cleaning & re-oiling. Also, you won't foul or damage the MAf because this filter doesn't use any oil. Here are 2 comparison pics of the AFE filter vs. the stock one and a pic of the filter installed in the air box. Nice write-up and pics, thanks for taking the time.
I like the idea of having a reusable filter. Let us know how it's working, how dirty it gets, etc. Of course, at $50 plus shipping, it would need to go almost three years to break even on OEM replacements, longer for Wix.

I was interested enough to dig a bit. aFe has a listing for the 2011 ACCORD, but not the PILOT. Interestingly, accoring to OEMaccuraparts.com, the 2011 v6 accord and 2011 honda pilot share an OEM air filter, 17220-R70-A00.
So, if you want a more-direct fit, the following should work: Air Filters Direct Fit aFe Power Magnum Flow OER Air Filter; OE Direct Replacement; Pro 5 R; Honda Accord 08-11 V6-3.5L 30-10204 - aFe Power I'm not sure why aFe wouldn't also list the Accord filter for the Pilot. I hereby disclaim all liability for this post

I think the filters are different between the Accord & Pilot. Bernardi Parts lists the Pilot filter as 17220-RN0-A00 not 17220-R70-A00. According to K&N, the 2011 v6 accord filter is 10.25" (260 mm) x 8" (203 mm).

Yep, I stand corrected.

looking at the first picture, to my eyes I see much less filtering area. Will that make any difference in day to day usage, I doubt it. But you might need to replace it more often
