Default Remote problems

Has anyone had a problem with their remote or the cargo door? On the remote i can press unlock & lock for about a minute & it will not light up maybe i need to replace the keys? Because we put a new battery in & it still does it, i pray its not something in the pilot, does anyone know how much keys are? Also when i try to open the cargo door it acts like its stuck but i can hear it unlock & nothing is by the door in the inside, whats going on?

I’m afraid your remote problems have only just begun. If you are still under warranty take them to the dealer. There is a TSB on them. 09-099. It was published in December of 2009. I’m not sure what year your Pilot is, but even the replacement after the TSB went bad on us (both keys). If you’re past warranty ask for goodwill consideration. Having key remotes that only work for a year or so is unbelievable. I’ve never owned a vehicle where the remote didn’t last as long as I owned the car.

I just replaced the batteries in both of my remotes. I've only had the Pilot for two years. I thought it was just the battery. I replaced both batteries and all of my problems went away. I did find it strange that the batteries went bad so soon. I too have never had a remote battery "die" on me. Im wondering if I should go to the dearler about this issue.

I had both remotes replaced under warranty after the TSB was released. It solved all of our problems until now. The Pilot only recognizes my key as the "1" key every now and then. The majority of the time it thinks I have the "2" key. Frustrating. I also had to have the battery replaced b/c of the draw from the sunroof (I think that's what it was). They reprogrammed everything and I've had no issues since.
