Newer Honda and Acura TPMS are they the same will they work on my 09' pilot? Also the light on the dash , does the light go on if one of the tire pressure is lower then the other tires but not a flat tire?

Not all. Look for these part #s 42753-STK-A04; 42753-STK-A03; 42753-STK-A02. Not sure what the threshold ft/lbs for lower pressure for the light to come on but yes, lower pressure on 1 tire will turn the dash light on.

Three to four psi under normal is enough to trigger the warning

In my experience, if one or more of the tires is at or under 28 PSI (approximately), the light comes on. The light doesn't come on for any other condition such as overly high pressure or a wide pressure difference between tires (as long as all the tires are above 28 or so).

Another thing to consider if you are living in a colder climate is that your pressure will change with the weather. You might get in your Pilot and the light will be on but once you start driving and the air in your tires heats up a little it will expand and the light will go off. Cold tires sometimes will register 3 or 4 pounds low until you get some heat and miles on them.
Just an FYI |
