I felt the 2011 Pilot we purchased to be comfortable on the test drive and 15 minute trips. But after long trips, my 6'4" frame starts to feel "cramped". Does anyone know of an rail extension for the 09-12? I looked at the front mounting bracket to see if I could modify the location reward, but it seems to be more difficult than just making extensions. The front bracket is not flat. It is set at about a 70 degree angle, thus not allowing a move backward, only forward.
Has anyone come up with a resolution to the short travel reward? When the seat is all the way forward, the seat-back is about 6 inches from the steering wheel. Only about 70% of the seat travel is usable. I really like the Pilot in general, but the '04 Pilot we had was more comfortable than our '11. I have actually been thinking about trading in the Pilot for a Highlander, just because of the additional leg room. |

Check the rails the seat sits on and see if they can be reversed. Did that on one car and gained an inch of extra legroom.

I can feel your pain. I am only 6'1" with a 32~34" inseam and I have to have the seat all the way back to be comfortable. I little more would be nice. Your a lot taller so certainly understand. Cars simply are not made for taller people.
If I could do it all over again I would come back 5'10". You can fit comfortably in most cars and your tall enough to flat foot most motorcycles. |

Try being 6'8" 285 lbs! I guess I have just had to get used to no room. I'm still waiting for Honda to do something with the Ridgeline or a full size suv.
I love my pilot, but my knees definitely don't! Sent from my Autoguide iPhone app |
