Default Myer Home Plow Commercial and DIY Cool Stuff Episode

Here is a funny peice. The Myer Home Plow commercial uses a Honda Pilot in the commercial The HomePlow? by Meyer Commercial - DIY Snow Plow - YouTube#!

News

The funny thing is under what it fits, they only list the Ridgeline. If nothing else, everyone should get a kick out of the commercial....

I couldn't find any mention on the site about voiding the warranty. I assume it would...

Yes, that caught our eye too....especially as our driveway is 1/10th of a mile in length.
Seems the Ridgeline only? hmmm. But the Pilot also? Why not!

Aren't plows notorios for putting a truck frame to the max of it's abilities? I noticed that the guy in the commercial had a blacktop. My luck would be to hit a frozen chunk or a tree root on our gravel drive and twist something below to it's demise. Yikes!
But too late to ask for one this year from Santa.

A steel plow meant for continuous plowing is 2 to 3 times heavier than this light weight home use version. It says it has a limitation of 8-10 inches though (no mention of "wetness"). That would mean a couple of passes in a major storm around here. It does claim to have a trip feature allowing it to angle back if it hits some thing until it is over it - then it springs back.

Given Honda's weak transmissions, I'll pass (Plus I have a Pickup).

There is a similar item, snowsport that's been out for several years.
Mounted the same way but without any electrics
