Proof positive that the brick we are driving around is un-aerodynamic, I actually achieved 28.5 MPG between Raton, NM and Dallas, TX (Hand calculated with 27 on the computer). Granted there was a 30-65 MPH wind on the quarter. It would have been well over 30 if the wind was not clean on the side for a bit of the drive. But got well over 500 miles before filling up with plenty left in the tank. Oh, with 6 people and a big box on the hitch with over 300 #'s of luggage.
Why can't it always be like that... |
