I may be speaking out of turn, I am not a Pilot owner yet, just a shopper. But my Mazda Speed3 has the same issue. It's actually very common with leather seats. I periodically clean and apply leather conditioner and it works for me. I double up on the conditioner. Keeps it soft and supple and lubricated without harming the leather.
