Default Problem-Trip Computer-History of Trip A?-2012 EX-L Nav

I own a 2012 4x4 EX-L Nav and am loving it so far but I can't figure out how to see my previous mileage in the trip computer-history area (picture below). I'm on my 5th tank of gas but it always reads 0.0 and no other information. Any suggestions? Is there a setting that I need to tinker with? Thanks.

Are the previous calculated trip numbers tied to hitting the Trip A reset on the driver's gauge panel?

I've got the same trim level and I have the same issue. I've been experimenting with it but I can never get anything to appear for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd previous mpg readings. I checked the navigation manual and it is useless. I guess I'll be making a trip to the dealer shortly to figure out how it is supposed to work.

I was pretty excited about the nav system when I first got the vehicle but after having it for about a month, I rate it as only average. It would be nice if it could be customized more or if it did everything Honda claims on their webpage:

2012 Honda Pilot - Specifications - Official Honda Site

I did some snooping around on forums, Alpine's website, and Googling to learn more about the system but couldn't find anything, probably because it's so new.

When you reset trip A with the selector knob does it show any previous history?

Can you set your Trip A reset to reset automatically whenever you refuel or whenever you turn the ignition off (see page 104 or your owners manual)?

I cleared out the previous entries and hit the Trip A reset a couple of times during my short drive to work. Sure enough, the dashed/deleted previous entries were replaced with 0's. It never seems to properly populate the previous entries when a trip reset is hit.

"When you reset Trip A, average fuel
economy A is reset at the same time." pg 88 OM related to the MID operation.

Apparently its designed that way, try using MID trip B for daily use and trip A for cumulative to keep the history stored as trip A on the trip computer. You can then use the Navi controls to play with the History of Trip A data.

Did you guys set the trip computer reset to reset when you refuel? see this video of a EXL around the 1:30 mark:

I have the touring model so I set the trip computer reset to reset when I refuel. I make the setting through the MID where my gauges are and with the steering wheel controls (see attached pics). I have it set up this way and I see the previous history.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. The EX-L doesn't have the option to do an auto-reset on trip A mileage when the gas tank is refilled. Most of the information in the manual (i.e. pg. 88) is in reference to the Touring MID. Sounds like Mudbog and I are in the same boat. If I learn something from the dealer (doubt it), I'll report back.

Thanks @RSQpilot. Yep, I'm familiar with how to reset the trip A mileage but it's not having any effect on the Trip A history.

just curious if you were resetting the MID trip counters and that was what was resetting the Navi trip A computer and history back to 0000.

Over the past few days, I did 4 fillups with at least 10 gallons each time and I never reset trip A. I was hoping to get some history tracking on the NAV display but the history never appears no matter what I do. I think it's a broken feature on the EX-L with NAV. If I have time, I'll talk to the dealer about it this week and let you know what I discover.

Based on my earlier reference to Honda's website, I believe Honda originally intended to include the MID on the 2012 EX-L model with NAV option but then changed their mind later. If the EX-L w. NAV had the MID, the trip A history could be tracked as 'br1522' noted.

Thanks @mudbog. I also played around with it some more to no avail, including not resetting Trip A after refueling.
