I have put on about 130 songs so far and have taken up about 1GB of space on my HDD...I have the 2012 EX-L Nav so I have about 15GB total to use...

I don't have the manual in front of me, but to the best of my memory, it states in the manual that it can hold something like 12 or 15 CD's, IIRC. You can turn off the prompts to copy a CD to the library in the setup menu, if you just want it to play a CD and leave you alone. The 2 GB library is really kind of a joke. It can't sync from an iPod or USB, you can only rip from a CD. The only use for it is if you have 10 or so favorite albums, you can permanently store them in there then turn off the prompts, then it's like having a multi-CD changer for your favorites and you can just pop in a regular CD for less common use. For anyone that like to have a larger range of albums in their car, you're MUCH better off just keeping an iPod connected in the armrest. |
