Greetings, the wife and I recently moved to FL and decided to downsize from 2 vehicles and bought a 2010 Pilot EX with 22k miles to replace a sedan and pickup truck. We have been very happy with the vehicle, cargo capacity, 3 row seating, mileage, performance, etc. One of the accessories I did not haggle for was a roof rack. Dealer prices are quite high and was wondering if there was an aftermarket rack that "looks" as part of the original equiptment??
PS: I missed my truck for a week. ![]() Thanks |

Welcome to the forum. I hope the two of you can still get along with one vehicle. ;-) Post often.

Hi Rick,
Welcome to the Piloteers! I was in the same place recently, looking for roof rack cross bars for our 2011 Pilot Touring. The local dealer wanted almost $200 for the OEM bars, so I checked with Bernardi and got them for $152 delivered. See <http://www.bernardiparts.com/Honda-Crossbars-Pilot__08L04-SZA-110.aspx> for more info. The good thing about the OEM cross bars is that they are aerodynamic (i.e. quiet), unlike the aftermarket products I looked at. And the OEMs aren't too pricey if you buy on the web... |

Agree with all the above posts, go with factory Honda roof rails from the cheapest source you can find, but DON'T get the Honda crossbars. They are weaker than either Yakima or Thule and will limit what accessories you can mount. I went with the 66" Yakima load bars and a Yakima wind fairing... love it! Minimal noise and lots of functionality. FYI I use a Yakima 21 cubic foot cargo box, kayak, bike, and ski racks without any trouble... hope this helps!
