Default 2012 Pilot Colors

Hey all. Waiting for the dealer to find me an Alabaster Silver Touring AWD, but they don't know when they will be able to find one. Everything coming to other dealers is already sold or gets snagged for a demo

I picked the silver b/c I thought both the blue and red colors for the 2009-2011 model years was too dark for my taste. Has anyone seen these colors on a 2012 model? I've heard that they appear to be lighter. Is this the case? Wondering if it is worth rolling over to the dealer to take a look.

Thanks for any input.

We just picked up our Alaster Silver EX-L this week. Nice choice!

The "Dark Cherry Pearl" is now called "Dark Cherry Pearl II" for 2012. I have not seen the 2011 and 2012 side-by-side, but I am inclined to believe the "II" may be ever-so-slightly brighter. The reason I say that is that I always thought the Dark Cherry Pearl almost looked brown in most lighting, but I saw a 2012 Cherry Pearl II on the road last week and immediately thought it looked a tad more red. Looked nice.

The Bali Blue is unchanged from 2011. It's a nice color. Would have been our top choice except my current car is also blue.

Note that the silver comes in both black and grey interior, blue only comes in grey, and red comes in black and beige. So that may impact your selection. I am VERY happy with the two-tone grey/black interior of our silver. All-black looks too sinister to me.

Hope this helps.

I've got a ASM touring in black on order. The 2012s just started showing up in Canada last week. Hope the order doesn't take too long but then again the dealer has no real idea of when it will come in. Its now a waiting game...

We just picked up our 2012 EX-L in Bali Blue Pearl last week and I can tell you that it is a very dark blue. It doesn't appear to be any lighter than last year.

Thanks for the responses.

I was able to see the new DCP2 yesterday at the dealer and it really looks nice. A lot brighter and red, unlike the brownish color of recent years.

I have them looking for one now with the tan interior, and hope to hear back today.

For those who have not seen it, the beige interior on the DCP2 is actually two tone - the floors and parts of the dash are in black. Looks really nice.

I just picked up my Touring DCP2 last week and I absolutely love it! I did have to order it the end of September and I picked it up November 10th. The dealer did manage to find two to trade for, but did say that it would have been hard to find it if I waited too long. Anyway, I like the new color, it seems to have a slight brownish tint to it, whereas the DCP1 looked to have a slight purple tint to it.

Maybe the change from the light gold (?Desert sand) color to a darker coffee color forced Honda to redden the tint a bit

Don't like the EX wheels. They seem too dare I say it soft and feminine.
