Default 2012 Pilot Headlight Question

Will be getting a 2012 Touring AWD as soon as the local dealer can locate one in silver for me.

I plan on upgrading the headlights, DRL/hi beams, and foglights in short order. (As a side note, I'm glad they removed the metal shroud on the fogs which limited the amount of light it could project - my 09 TSX had the same issue ).

Can someone tell me the bulb sizes for each? I have not found any definitive answers online.

Thanks

Headlights are H11 and HB3, apparently. You can look around oemacuraparts.com for other part numbers.

Of course, the only way to know for sure is to look at them. At least, that's the best way I've ever found, and I worked parts for a couple of years.

What kit or HID are you replacing them with. Is this a DIY job? Send pictures when complete if you can.

Just planning on replacing with PIAA bulbs with the Xtra tech. I have them in my 2004 TL and I am really happy with the result. Lots more light but no worries about extra wattage possible causing a short.

Thinking extreme white for the headlights and fogs, and the plasma yellow for the DRL/hi's.

Just finished upgrading my 2012 touring with 6000K HID LOW BEAM AND 6000K fog lights. I also upgraded the DRL bulb with these https://store.ijdmtoy.com/ProductDet...e=LED_SKU45_R2 and let me tell you they look awesome!! I also replaced the front turn signals with these switch back leds : https://store.ijdmtoy.com/ProductDet..._DC_3157_SKU39
I also replaced all the interior lights with led including the vanity lights, also did the back up light and the license plate light with led. All led are white. i will post pictures

In the 2012 model, the DRL's and High's on each side are combined into one bulb (H11), so you won't want to go with yellow, unless you want a weird yellow colored high beam. 2009-2011 models had separate DRL and high beam bulbs.

The low beams are 9005, and the fogs are H11.

I'd also be interested to know how difficult it was to access the interior lights to change to LEDs. Anybody know of a good, safe kit for this? Would love to put LEDs in all the exterior lights, but not sure if they might cause electrical problems, wattage issues, etc.

I'm a long time reader and thought I'd comment on this thread. Don't hate to much.

HIDs are not designed for the standard headlights, only for Projection Beam headlights which focus the light. YOU ARE JUST BLINDING EVERYBODY ON THE ROAD WITH HIDS ON THE PILOT. I know they're cool looking and I enjoy the light they produce, I have the 6000k upgrade on my insight, but it's lame how many people are installing HIDs on cars not designed to have them. It's annoying to be blinded by a blanketed white light from on coming cars and it's dangerous! Add that the pilot has a higher headlight position and everybody on the road will be blinded either from the front or behind (rear view mirror). Hate on!

P.S., I'ill be buying a 2012 Pilot next month and hope they have an after market headlight upgrade kit with projectors so we CAN have HIDs--I love them to.
