My 2009 Pilot has been perfect for the first 30K miles until Saturday. During our October snow storm, I pulled out from the bank ATM and was going around the corner of the building and slid sideways into the curb on the right mostly covered in snow. At the time of impact I would estimate I was going 2-3 mph, my front wheels were turned to the left as I was trying to avoid sliding into the curb on the right like I did. I heard something crunch and assumed it was the body, but no body damage is found.
Now, at around 60-65 mph on the highway I start to get a humming/rumbling/vibration I feel in the steering wheel that seems to be coming from the front right tire. Investigation of the area shows about 4" of the rim has been gouged where it meets the tire, but no obvious tire damage. I turned the tires fully both ways and looked from front and back at all the bolts, rods, joints, etc and nothing looks to be loose, broken, leaking or otherwise damaged to the eye. I still see the small lead weight on that tire so I didn't knock that off. And it doesn't feel like a tire balance problem, more of a hum every second or two, or a solid hum, worst at 70mph then goes away faster. Below 60 I don't hear or feel anything. When traveling 65 to 70 mph, going around a bend to the left makes this problem worse while going around the bend turning the wheels to the right makes this problem almost go away completely. I'm going to try to get it in to the dealer this week, but what could I have possibly done and is it a safety issue for driving? Maybe I bent the rim?

Start by having the tire removed from the rim and checked for damage. If ok, then remount, balance and test drive

Rim damage would be my guess as well, as it would manifest as what you are describing.

Took it in to the dealer for service. They just called and said they had to replace a wheel bearing and that solved the problem. Was done under warranty.
