Default wheel locks for 2012 Touring 18 inch rims

I had wheel locks on my 2011 pilot touring . they were flush and were the same level as the regular bolts.

i traded in my 2011 and got a 2012 (18 inch rims) i checked with Honda , they said the wheel locks are the same part # for 2011 and 2012. (honda wheel locks are made my Mcguard)

I put them on my 2012 wheels and they look so ugly cause they stick out too much. they are no longer flush. i checked online for mcguard locks, and they dont offer any other kind that would fit.

I also looked up gorilla locks, they are so dont have anything that would be shorter in that size that would be flush.

i guess honda was too lazy to redesign a wheel lock that would fit nice on the 2012 18 inch wheels!

anybody have any suggestions?
thanks

Maybe check oemacuraparts and see if the part numbers are the same.

hmmm...yeah i noticed that the wheel locks stick out too...first saw it on the 2012's at the dealership...we just recently purchased & received our 2012 EX-L, and we wanted it accessory-free...however, i guess they threw in the wheel locks...not sure why they weren't designed to fit flush with the other lugs

Yep - I've noticed same thing and asked for my original lug nuts back. Hoping to find a better looking solution.

Being that these wheel locks stick out like that for the 2012 18 inch rims, I wonder if it will cause any kind of wheel balance/alignment issues at high speeds. I haven't experienced any bumpiness yet but logically, it should cause a slight wheel imbalance.

The factory wheel lock is about 1.375 inches long and I don't think anyone makes a shorter lock. While not what you're looking for, Gorilla does make longer lug nuts that are about the same length as the factory lock that will even out the look; or use 2011 lug nuts.
