Are you driving in Manila or in the provinces? If in Manila, you should change that often because of all the soot and particulates in the air. Honda recommends replacing it every 24,000 km if you drive primarily in urban areas. The maintenance minder should alert you when it's time to change it. Filter should be located behind the glove compartment.

Intructions found on the net:

For 2009 or later Honda Pilot, it is very easier - a 5 minute job - and no tools required. The filters are around $25 from Honda (80292-SHJ-A41) but much cheaper after market. I changed mine at 19K and it was VERY dirty. I would recommend changing every year - especially if you have allergies.
Empty and Open the glovebox. Press the 2 tabs on the sides. Swing the glovebox ALL the way towards the floor so the opening behind the glovebox is fully accessible.
Inside the opening is a black tray - around 8" square. Press the 2 "tabs" on each side of tray and pull the tray out.
Put the new filter in with the arrow on the side of the filter facing DOWN towards the floor. Slide the tray back in. Close the glovebox.

OT: How's the super glue on the dash? Did you try the liquid shoe polish?

Honda recommends 15K miles / 24K km, as previously posted, in "dusty conditions." I plan to do it "early" once a year regardless of mileage, because it's easy to remember and for no other reason. I calendar the purchase anniversary date and change engine and cabin filters on that day. I may actually do it on the same schedule with my other car, even though that means doing it several months early the first time. For some things, I do subscribe to the "cheap insurance" school of thought, though I respect the maintenance minder and follow the manufacturer's schedule except for the air filter.

Long story short (sorry for rambling) once a year won't ruin you.

tnx for the helpful info guys. I'm from vancouver canada. I have about less than 10k mileage on my pilot. Ill probably get an after market for my cabin filter. It would be nice to bring a pilot to manila. They stop selling it cause i guess it never was a diesel model for it. just wondering, what does OEM stand for?

Hey BYUFAN - does that $6.08 OTD? or you still have to pay for shipping? I've seen in the past they charge cheap for the part itself but mark-up the shipping price, eventually paying the same if you buy say at a local Autozone

No shipping was around $6 I think. It only goes up a little for each item so it is best to order multiple to get you $ worth. I ordered a few for our civic and pilot at the same time.

Our heater fan went out in our civic and this place was by far the cheapest for that as well.
