Default 2012 Touring..All the parts?

On the window sticker of my new 2012 Touring it states there is a dvd entertainment system with wireless headsets.

But I never received any wireless Headsets. Am I supposed to? Where would they be?

They come with the vehicle. My salesman did a complete run-thru with me including the operation of the headsets. If I recall correctly, the headsets were located in the rear storage compartment...all the way in the back.

Yep that is where ours were. We love the rear entertainment system. I am impressed with just how well the headphones work. We keep some batteries in the Pilot just in case.

The towing wiring harness should be in there as well.

yeah I did. The salesman said they were in the compartment in teh back. so I looked there (on the side) and nothing. I saw a handle on the floor, but thought that was just a way to access the spare tire..nope. it's another compartment with the headsets in it.

My sales guy kinda rushed through the car review. i think he was tired (it was 9pm) so I'm working the rest out as I go.

So far i have a Ipod hooked up, bluetooth (audio and phone), and the DVD working. The one thing i HATE about the DVD is that the kids have to watch all those boring previews. I think I'm going to have to rip my own dvd's so it goes straight to the movie.

Actually a very smart idea. 2 iPads for less than the cost of RES on an EXL, plus they are portable

Should a 2009 Touring include the towing wire adaptor? I bought my Pilot private-party last week.

I think I've looked in all of the storage compartments including the draw under the Passenger seat, but I can't find any adaptors that convert the round plug on the back of the Pilot to a flat 4-pin configuration that I'm familiar with.

It seems like I might need the ~$10 adaptor sold in autoparts store? is it the 7 pin round to 4 pin Flat converter? Sound familiar? Anyone know if the adaptors were included with the 09 tourings? If so, maybe the 1st owner lost it?

The Pilot only comes with the 7 pin. You just need to pick up an adapter.

Good question. I found some sort of electrical dohicky in my glove compartement. Looks like something I need to hook up if I do some towing? Looks like a piece of plast at 4 or 5 wires about a foot long coming out of the back. Also looks like there is a fuse in it.

What is it?

If you tow a trailer and it has electric trailer brakes that pigtail allows you to hook your trailer brake control device to the Pilot's wiring connections.

Finally there is no need to use that pigtail. We can now just plug and play like all the other truck manufacturers. eTrailer.com came out with a pigtail for Tekonsha brake controllers.

Tekonsha Wire Replacement for Honda Ridgeline and Pilot Tekonsha Accessories and Parts 3070-P

I just bought the P3 and am looking forward to using it. I am going to buy a pigtail for both my Ford F150 and Honda Pilot so I can easily switch the controller between vehicles. The P3 has profiles for use in multiple vehicles.

I could easily wire up my own this just makes it a lot easier and it's only $15.
