Default Best HondaCare Extended Warranty Price

I purchased a 2011 Honda Pilot last week and I'm considering the extended warranty 6 years/120000 miles 0 dedcutible for $990 out the door. Can anyone beat this price before I lock in?

Are you getting the warranty from an online dealer?

That sounds about right for Hondacare. This is an official Hondacare warranty, correct?

Sounds like a reasonable price from what I understand. You should also be able to get an 8 yr, 120k mile for around $1300 which works out to around the same $/yr = ~163.

What is your typical or anticipated driving mileage per year for this vehicle? Would you expect to hit the 120k mile mark around 6 yrs or a bit later/sooner?

warranty = (mileage < 20k/yr) ? 8 : 6;

Lander, I'm aware of the 7 and 8 year warranties. I've chosen the one best for our yearly average estimate but appreciate you pointing this out.

Try Hyannis Honda in MA. I purchased two for about 30% less than dealer wanted. Genuine HondaCare.

Yep...Finally bit the bullet and purchased it from Hyannis. Bob Leab made the transaction easy and it appeared to be the best price. Paid $990 for 6 year/120k 0 deductible. I'll sleep better now :-)

I bought my Pilot about two weeks ago but didn't purchase any extended warranty. Is it too late to buy one now?

No, I think as long as the vehicle has less than 6000 miles.

Correct... actually three conditions: 6K miles, six-months from purchase, must be current or previous MY.

This is interesting. I'll have to look at my paperwork but I bought a HondaCare warranty on a used 2009 Touring w/ RES for around the same money I think. This was two years ago now, but the truck had 28,000 miles on it when I bought it. If my memory serves me correctly, I got the 6 years 100,000 miles (or something like that)....
