Thanks! Trying to see how I can get music on to the HDD without the original CD (I haven't bought physical media in years). At first glance it doesn't appear to be an option?

So I started thinking "well, I can burn a disk to CD format from itunes or whatever and then rip it to the HDD from that" but just saw that CD-R isn't supported. So, is this HDD basically useless?

(Update again) Reading the MDX forums it will apparently rip a burned CDA formatted CDR. Kind of a PITA though.

From reading I'm not sure you can get music that isn't on a CD first to copy to the hard drive. But it seems you could just load up all that music on a thumbdrive and plug it in to the usb port in the center console and listen to them that way.

We'll probably just go the ipod route. Seems easy with about the same functionality (voice search etc). Just funny that Honda puts something as modern as voice controlled music from an in dash hard drive, yet forces you to use a woefully outdated technology to fill it.

Where's the tape deck?
