Default Super Polysteel Protection

My dealer offered me Super Polysteel paint and interior protection for $499. Any opinions for or against it? Is it worth it or just a gimmick?

Is it polysteal of Polyseal? Sounds like a money maker for the dealer, usually the "dealer added" protection systems offer little or no extra protection than a good coat of wax or scotch guard on fabric seats. If it was me I would say "no thanks" and save my money for side steps or something else...

Dealer profit maker....Mine offered a Super Simonize package...for $250 after I said No to a $450 price.
Save your $'$ and DIY wax job or poly sealant with a good detailing product line.

It's actually Super PolySteel spelled just like that. Yea I regularly keep my cars waxed but I live in Florida and any help I can get for bug protection is needed. That's the only reason I would consider it.

I had a CRV prior that had decent hood damage from bugs so I want to protect my pilot from that.

Get a bug guard.

Wax, no matter how fancy the name or costly the application will NOT do the trick.

I am considering a bug shield, but does it cause damage to the hood? I have heard that.

Yep, Have had several.

Two of the same on the Pilot and two different on the CRV.

I forget the brands except for the second one on the CRV. It was a WeatherTech.

EDIT:

The others were "Perfect Fit"

You like those better than the Honda offerings? I know they were probably more affordable. Where did you get them if you don't mind me asking?

Car-bras, or Amazon I think, except for the WeatherTEch, I picked up at their company store.

All seem fine, tech Honda CRV one required drilling, and the Pilot did not have one at the time I got mine.
