Default Chrome Door Handles

Bought a 2009 Nimbus Grey EX-L Pilot. I had a silver 2006 EX Pilot with blacked out windows. I miss the look of the silver. The nimbus grey is a little dark for me. It needs something. I am thinking about ordering the chrome piece for the side molding to get the touring look. . But I am also thinking about ordering chrome door handles too. I parked next to a MDX yesterday that was dark grey and it had chrome door handles. It looked great. The chrome handles really helped break up the dark color. Does anybody have them on their 09-11? I am anxious to see what they look like.
The blacked out windows are coming too. I can't stand that people can see me driving by. Plus they look great.

you mean these?

HONDA PILOT 4DR 2009 2010 2011 CHROME DOOR HANDLES - eBay (item 400169500735 end time May-01-11 1204 PDT)

I don't know if they would look or if the quality is any good, seller is claiming it's top notch. Just saw it at ebay.
Might look nice though on yours since you don't have any chrome trim on your EX-L. I'm happy with the stock door chrome striping that came on my Touring, I think these chrome door handles maybe too much for me. On another point, I even chose to install black OEM side steps over the chrome ones for practical cleaning purposes, I mean having a black Pilot is hard enough for me! It's all personal preference.

AutoAnything has the door handles too. I may try it. I just wish someone had a good pic of them on a Pilot.

There is a chrome piece on ebay also to give the EX or EX-L the touring look.

I cant decide to do one or the other,,,,,or both.

I have the chrome handles on mine. Got it from autoanything awhile back. Easy to install. Its basically a hard plastic that is chromed outside and held to the existing handle with double side tape. It's been on for over a year and still going strong. Be careful when putting them on. Once you put them on, it's on and very hard to readjust

Finally someone wants to do a chrome door handle on a Pilot I have thought of the same thing since mine is a black EX-L. I think the chrome door handle would looks great on a dark-colored car, but not the body chrome I don't know if anyone noticed that the Touring's body mold has a slightly curved-in space for those body mold chrome to fit in snugly, and those body mold is precisely cut and trim at each ends. Imagine you put that on, no matter how perfect you cut it, it's still laying above the surface, see what I mean?
Anyway, I'm looking forward to see your Pilot with chrome door handle

How long have you had them on? I'm just afraid that overtime the water will leaking the glue, thus creating some gap and rusting the paint But they look great on the Pilot, though

If you spend some time checking other honda or acura vehicles, you may find that Honda has the same design in chrome. First Gen Pilot shared hundles with the MDX.

Old timers here remember the days of hundles.....

prettyloaded...I notice you have the same running board as mine. How did you connect the running board lights? I installed mine over month ago but I'm still deciding how I connect the running board lights. Let me know thanks!

n2da2nd - for over a year now. Still strong and from the looks of it, it's not coming off

maxummus - I haven't connected the lights yet because it's still to cold, but the way you connect the oem should be the same

Had to do with some typos in another thread many years ago. Several of our old timers often refer to handles as "hundles" now

Bought the door handles. $30 on ebay. Hardest part of putting them on was getting the backing off the double sided tape. I am gald I did it. I think it makes a huge difference.

I took this right after I washed it. The tires need a little Armor All. And the front windows are getting tinted in a few weeks.
