The Glass hatch on my Pilot 2011 is refusing to open.
1) from the remote. 2) switch on the drivers door. 3) button under the handle tailgate. It was working fine until I got the firmware update for the moonroof battery drain/closure issue. Now it has stopped working has anyone else come across a simmilar problem? and how do you access the glass hatch lock mechanism PS I have checked the Fuse under the secondary fusebox and it is ok |

I'd imagine the interior trim panel will need to be pulled.
But quite honestly, it should be under warranty. Take it into the dealer and let them repair it.

The lesser models (like my EX-L) have a button on the remote that pops the hatch glass portion remotely.

The button to open the glass hatch on my 2010 Pilot EX-L sometimes works and sometimes doesn't work. Whether the button works or not, there is always a clicking sound from the lock area. Mentioned to dealer while vehicle was in for routine service and of course the button worked. Dealer hadn't heard of this problem.
Any suggestions? |

That leads me to believe that when the seal is warmed up, it gets sticky - and so when the latch releases, there's not enough spring or play in the hinges to actually release the stay from the latch. If you apply some force, it's enough to free it when the latch releases. If this is happening often, what you might consider doing is applying some kind of lubricant or treatment to the rubber gasket around the glass. Even something like ArmorAll might help with that.
