+1... That's $400 below dealer cost. No way in hell that figure didn't include trade in or other variables.

hello everyone. we got our pilot a few weeks ago. went with the 4wd ex-l in black with grey interior and res. we paid 33,995 plus tax and tags. also got them to throw in the cargo cover and the cargo tray. i am going in on friday to have premium running boards and the remote start put in. paid a little more for them then i wanted but what the hell right. the remote start was 750 and the boards were 700 installed also getting the rubber mats. also got the 70,000 7 year money back warranty and tire coverage which cost us another 1300( i know but i am a sucker for the warranty).

What about $29,350 before additional fees for a 2011 4wd Ex, Bali Blue? Should I keep looking or grab this one right away? This is thru my bank which gives me a certified price w/ a dealer. The price is good for 10 days. Opinions?

Hi- looking for 2011 AWD EX-L RES in black in NY/LI area. Got initial quote for $35,600 which I know I can do better on next round. Also, giving me $14,000 for a 2005 trade. Any thoughts? Also, are the NAV and RES separate options or does the NAV incl RES? Thanks in advance

Just paid $36,700 for White 2011 EX-L with RES. That was including all fees, taxes, etc., and premium running boards, cargo trey, and all season mats. Fair but not great deal.

I'm in DFW & the Touring is non-existent. I paid $39,000 for a black on black touring which included the mandatory dealer add-ons (pin stripe, mud guards, tinted windows, door guard, cargo liner, blah, blah, blah). I added the 7yr 100k mile warranty. With TT&L it was $41,176 OTD.
Not as a good of a deal as others seem to have gotten. |

First of all, Black on Black is as sweet as a candy sandwich, so congrats on that. But I don't understand how so many of you are being suckered into that extra warranty. It is a HONDA fer Chrisakes! And that is exactly what I told my dealer after I got off the floor from the laughing attack/spiral that he sent me into when he mentioned it. That is why I buy a Honda so that I do not NEED additional warranty. GM & Dodge garbage needs a warranty, Honda? Not so much.

If your warranty is a HOndaCare, then no, there is no money back for unused warranty. Sometimes, a 3rd party warranty will offer this but HondaCare does not. Sounds like you got a decent deal on your HondaCare warranty. I have a 2009 Civic Si sedan and I bought my warranty from MyHondaWarranty.com and I've also used Hyannis Honda. Either of these places will sell you an extended HondaCare warranty MUCH cheaper than the finance person at your local Honda dealership. I got a 6yr/120,000 warranty for ~$800 (maybe ~$850). Not that I expect to need it that much but it's nice for the piece of mind! EDIT: In re-reading my post it kinda sounds like I'm slinging hondacare warrantys lol. I'm not. I have no affiliation with either place, I've just purchased warraties from each. They used to post prices online but now you have to call for pricing. If you don't believe me, go to 8thcivic.com and search Hyannis Honda and Sacucci (spelling?) honda or even just HondaCare warranty... Last edited by Leonard1818; 07-20-2010 at 11:31 AM. |

I have purchased HondaCare warranties in the past & yet to keep the car the whole time. HondaCare has always refunded me a prorated portion of the unused warranty.
I had an Odyssey Touring. The transmission had to be replaced at @ 50k miles. Very unexpected issue for a Honda. So, that alone made it worth it to me. With the Pilot Touring, all the bells & whistles make me nervous for the long haul. If I going to be paying for this car for 4 years or more, I want everything to be running and working properly - nav, RES, power liftgate, etc. Also, I have been driving "luxury" cars for several years and am spoiled with the 4yr 50,000 mile warranty. I will hit 50,000 in less than 3 yrs (2 1/2 on my last vehicle). Plus I like the comfort of 24 hr roadside assistance (which I used on my last car) and rental car when in service (have always used). I like knowing that I have to plan for maintenance, but not other unknowns. With that said, I think I paid way too much for mine last week. $1720 for 7yr, 100,000 miles. I wonder if it is too late to take that off? |
