I used AMEX Auto Purchasing program and no dealer can match this price..
Bought it from So Cal - Honda Cars of Corona, friendly people, not pushy at all and removed the Protection Plus pkg I don't like. They even matched the lowest price I got from AMEX.
Happy camper here! It changed my perception of car sales people
I got EX-L 2WD with RES for $32,130 (destination fee included) from Norm Reeves Honda in Cerritos, CA. I got 1.9% APR. I wonder what APR did you get from AMEX.

I used AMEX Auto Purchasing Program to find the best price from 3 dealers, I picked Honda Cars of Corona. I used Amex to pay the first $5k but I still got my financing from Honda. 0.9% for 3yrs

Bought a 4WD Touring on New Year's Eve. Originally, went to a dealer who offered a great deal on a 2011 EX-L 4WD of $31,500(+TTL). I was interested in one with a nav system, but they only had one in stock and would not deal on it (wanted $35,500 for it). Said bye-bye and drove to another dealer where I ended up getting the Touring for $36,500(+TTL).

I bought the Pilot because I had another vehicle go belly up. I had expected that vehicle to last another two winters. As a result, I was in a very bad mood while purchasing the Pilot. I guess my mood really came through to the salesmen I dealt with. They were respectful, all business and no games. When I was signing the paper work for the Touring, the salesman asked me if I was excited about buying the Touring. Looked him dead in the eye and said 'no'!

I've nearly had it with the Honda dealers in the Houston area. I'm just about ready to call it quits and buy something else, or travel outside the Houston area. Does anyone know when the 1.9 percent financing offer ends?

Looks like they extended all their deals to the end of February.

I would get the best deal you can in your area from the dealer with the best track record for service and be done with it. In the end if you keep the car long enough a couple of $100 dollars will not make that much of a difference. Life is to short to worry about stuff like this! Good Luck!

@mlewisr

I'm with you on this. I was contemplating about flying down to Southern CA to get the car for a few couple hundred dollars less, but my director reminded me that time is money and the time that I would have taken off to go down to SoCal to buy the car for less, I could make a deal that would easily make up the difference. Just pay a few hundred under invoice and enjoy the car. I know people who spend 6+ months shopping for cars. Crazy!

Well, so far only one is offering below invoice, and they've installed a bunch of unnecessary, overpriced options (including the scam cheap, after-market alarm they claim to install because it lowers their insurance rates from cars getting stolen off their lot.) It's not just about price, it is just their tactics that are turning me off. One of them gave me a quote that I would agree to, but they were playing games on the trade-in, and now they are are wavering on the quote. Another dealer said they would beat that quote by $150, but they don't have the specific vehicle on the lot, and wanted me to give them a $500 deposit over the phone (which I told them I would not do.) There are other places within two hours, so I don't have a problem going outside of Houston to avoid doing business with the dealers around here.

Default Bad Experience with Royal Honda in Metairie, LA

I had a bad experience with Royal Honda, in Metairie, Louisiana. I had made email contact with their Internet salesperson and from his phone call it appeared that he agreed to a price of $32,725 + TTL for a 2011 Pilot EX-L. He then brings his paperwork with the price at 33,225 (or something close) + $550ish for the electrical towing hitch. That was unacceptable, in my mind breach of words. If he did not agree to my price, then he should not have invited me in. The worst was their offer of $5000 for trade in of the 2003 Pilot LX with 69,890 miles! When I went to talk to the manager, he told me that he did not want to waste his time.

However, I am working with Honda of Slidell, and till now my experience with them has been good. In fact, my wife told me to stop haggling over $200 because she thought that the saleslady was very nice and for such a big purchase, I should let her have that bonus!

Default How much did I pay?

???

Unlike most of you here. I did almost no home work at all before buying a very nice 2011 AWD EX-L W/ RES last Saturday.

My Surburban died and needed something fast. I had been thinking of something smaller anyway. So, I drove around to different dealers and looked at most everything available. The Honda store was the last stop and to my surprise. I found what I think will be a very good car.

Dealers! I hate them all. That said, I feel I got a fair deal for just walking in off the street.

2011 Pilot AWD EX-L W/ RES + Tax and Fees $35,525.00

If you got it at $35,525 inclusive of TTL, then it is a great price. According to Edmunds, Inv+Dest. is about $34,460.

Good work!

I'm shocked at how low some of the prices people paid. Here in NY those prices are unheard of. Makes me sad. I paid 30K total for an LX 4WD. I somehow feel ripped off.

What was the price before you added Tax, Title and License?
