Rear Windshield wiper auto engage when in reverse when Fronts are on. New function.

I had an 07 Pilot that I traded in for my current 2010 pilot. I noticed another new feature that when you have your front windshield wipers on and put the tranny in Reverse it automatically engages your rear windshield wipers for you. It will stay engaged until the tranny is shifted out of reverse. Very neat. First time around I thought I had a short or something cause I know I did put my rear windshield wiper on, but then I was driving this morning and backing out of a spot with the front windshield wiper on and then rear just turned on right when I put the tranny in reverse. Just incase others did know. I am sure it is in the manual but obviously I skippped over that part.

I was suprised by that feature too! I thought I had accidently hit something to turn it on. I normally don't use the rear wiper, but when backing up.... nice feature.

If the windows are dry, you won't have your front wipers on. It only does it when the front wipers are on.

Once again Honda is FORCING you to use your rear wiper...you will eventually have to change the rear wiper...check it out and see how easy it is to replace...not so easy...in fact they recommend you simply replace the rubber blade refill...try replacing it with the arm blade assembly and still attached to the car...come on Honda...make it easier to replace the rear blade and also give the CUSTOMER the option to use and not use his rear wiper and get rid of it activating automatically with front ones when shifting into reverse.
