Default nerf bars/running boards

Hey everyone! New to the forum. Purchased a 2010 Pilot a couple of days ago. Has anyone purchased aftermarket nerf/runnning boards? If so, where and was it an easy self install? Thanks in advanced!

i got the black autotoys nerf bars, the install was not that hard either. but i think the premium running boards are still the best looking but of course it's individual preference.

Sorry to dig up this thread, but I'm wondering - has anyone who did a self-install needed to use the "riv nut" tool referenced in the instructions for the OEM running boards/side steps?

Awesome, thank you. I did the side steps on my '05, but was looking over the instructions for the '10 and that seemed odd to me. I knew there had to be a way around using their special tool.

I have purchased a 2010 silver Pilot EX-L last week. Since that, I have been looking for the Honda OEM premium running boards. I personally think it looks the best on the Pilot. I am hoping to see it on sale again.

I was torn between those and the lighted and then I noticed the lighted were on sale at h and a for $544 shipped, so it made the decision easy. I read that a lot of people have issues with the premiums getting dented easily. Plus the LED's do put off a good amount of light.

For those people who have running boards installed does the jack still fit under when you have to change a tire?
