Default leaking transmission fluid?

I have about 6,000 miles on my 2010 Touring. I changed my oil myself last night (it was easy!) A1 service code. When I was under the car I noticed the transmission area was wet and dirty.

Well, I called my local dealer and they said it would cost me $89 for them to look at it and if it is under warranty it would not cost me anything. Also, if they have to drain the transmission fluid to replace a screw that would cost me money for them to refill the transmission fluid.

Has anyone else seen this problem? I attached a few pixs from last night.

Looks like a porous transmission seal.

100% covered under warranty. What a dofus of a dealer.

Thanks for letting me know. I made an appointment for Monday. I'll let you know the outcome. I just hope they don't charge me to refill the transmission fluid if they do drain it. And hopefully it is only a full day of work and I don't have to leave the car overnight.

If they attempt to charge you for a fluid change given this... I'd be pretty angry. This should be a ZERO DOLLAR service. As a matter of fact, ask for a free oil change due to the inconvenience.

Thats the right kind of response.

When my dealer messed up on a service, Honda happened to call me a few days later so I told them they messed up and Bingo, freebie oil change, tire rotate on the next visit!
