These pallette threads should technically be in the Gallery Forum.

Some members here spend so much energy telling people where a post should be posted or where it shouldn't be posted.......I just don't get it.

News flash....this is the GENERAL DISCUSSION forum. Anything can be posted here.

Okay, so why have separate forums and threads, let's just all post in one thread. Why bother with any sort of organization when anarchy will do.

And I'm extremely offended by the post whore term. Yes, I may help out the moderators in keeping this forum organized, and I do quite a bit to find information for others or direct them to threads where the information may be found.

I'm a little OCD, so call me biased, but I have to go with jay on this one. Nothing wrong with organization as it makes searching a bit easier and the forum a bit more professional. On top of that, searching before posting a new thread would be helpful.

Do we really need a new thread every time someone's maintenance light blinks?

Also jay tends to post a wealth of information and is extremely helpful in linking mutliple threads in response to many (and sometimes rather easy) questions, so if he wants to facilitate the flow around here, I have no problem.

As for the other topics, Hmmm, Well I guess It could go either place.

You guys have it wrong. I'm pretty sure that DarkShadowZ06's reply was directed at ceplar. I've seen the term being used in other forums when someone starts several threads, one after another with common or similar theme or question.

It's also used on someone who posts several single sentence replies in a row. In ceplar's case, it can be argued that it's a case of the former, but please see my view below.

So, jay, DarkShadowZ06 probably should've quoted the person he was directing his comment at, but I don't think it was directed at you, especially considering what the term represents and how I've seen it used in the past.

I completely agree with this.

That's what I thought too this morning when I first saw that ceplar started several new threads like this. And while there've been plenty of posts showing Pilots by their owners, with the color of their Pilots in the subject line, and etc., it doesn't look as though there have been threads that purposefully separates the images of Pilots in each and every color. [Well, not every color. I noticed a conspicuous absence of a thread for HB Pilots ]

So, in this case, I'd say not. But sure looked it when I first saw it. Reminded me of some of the promiscuous posting activities by some members in a few other sites I used to visit. But ceplar 's reason to start several threads like this is valid in thise case, IMHO.

But it still would be nice to have this site organized so that threads are posted/moved to relevant forums. osteome put it better than I ever will.

Oh, and finally, I also agree with others about just how valuable jay's contributions have been to this site ever since he joined. What's cool is that he still continues to contributes day after day, way more than most of the actual Pilot owners in here, like myself even though he now drives a Lexus.

If we ever need another moderator, jay's got my vote.

Exactly I would have quoted him, but I thought it was clearly obvious who I was speaking to/of.

I always put in a short quote, just to make sure. (I am missunderstood enough, don't need to add to it)

As for the Post Whore comment? Does that make you a "Post Prude"?

Just kidding, welcome to the group, have fun and stay relaxed!

Well, I feel a little like Bartles and Jaymes -- "Thank You for Your Support," and a bit foolish for misunderstanding.
