Default Why I bought a white Pilot...

It's dirty, but when you're preparing to tow a boat 250 miles to the beach, washing the Pilot isn't high on the agenda...

So you didn't really say why you bought a white Pilot...
Because it matches your white boat, or because it can tow your white boat?!

The subtle message I took away was that even a dirty white Pilot looks like a clean beauty.

We did buy the Pilot to tow the boat. Got rid of a perfectly good '97 CR-V with only 100K on it. While I intended to suggest that we got white to match the boat, that really wasn't the case. Although neither of us used to like white cars, we seem to have changed our minds. Funny how that happens.

I specifically wanted a white one, knowing how easy a white vehicle is to keep looking nice. Ended up with silver instead, and it's even easier to keep looking nice. The only thing I still don't like about white or silver is the lack of depth of reflectivity. Spend all day washing and waxing, and it looks the same that evening as when you started that morning.

That's why I went with Midnight Blue Pearl. They are definitely harder to keep clean, but worth it after the wash and wax.

Curious, what did you get for your CR-V vs. what you initially paid for it?

My first Pilot was white, I ended up with a silver. Maybe it's just me, but the white Pilot appeared larger than the silver one.

We bought the CRV new in early 97 for around 20K (I think.) When we bought the Pilot, we asked what the dealer would offer for it after the deal. They offered 5K. I sold it the next week to a close friend for 6K. I think it was worth 7K retail. It was completely up to date on maitenance, including the timing belt.

I dunno....I think the Sandstone Metallic color Pilot would have matched your house and the bottom of the boat better...

j/k
I love the white. My Accord SE was Brittany Blue Metallic and it sure was hot. I never catch a heat blast with my Pilot.

I have had a white truck for 6 years now, and it still looks great. I am going to be purchasing an '05 Pilot, and will more than likely go with white.

I will consider silver too, since my wife's Odyssey is silver, and it seems to do well too.

Another reason why I like white, is that it doesn't get as hot in the 110 degree days we can sometimes have in the central CA area.
